Usaha mengumpul dana bagi kerja-kerja pembinaan semula Kuil Dewi Sri Maha Kaliamman Sentul kini diperkukuhkan dengan pelancaran syiling emas dan patung emas Dewi Kaliamman. Inisiatif tersebut diumumkan oleh usahawan muda, CR Karthik, dalam satu sidang media yang diadakan hari ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Menurut beliau, kuil yang terkenal di negara ini sedang menjalani projek pembinaan semula secara besar-besaran yang melibatkan kos berjuta-juta ringgit. Pihak pengurusan kuil menyasarkan untuk menyiapkan keseluruhan projek dalam tempoh dua tahun akan datang bagi menyediakan kemudahan yang lebih baik kepada para penganut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bagi menyokong usaha tersebut, syiling emas seberat 0.2 gram yang terukir imej Dewi Kaliamman diperkenalkan pada harga RM501 sekeping. Selain itu, sebuah patung Dewi Kaliamman yang diperbuat daripada emas tulen seberat 70 gram turut ditawarkan dengan nilai RM60,000. Patung tersebut akan ditempatkan dalam upacara sembahyang khas selama sembilan hari sebelum diserahkan kepada pembeli yang menawarkan harga tertinggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CR Karthik menjelaskan bahawa kuasa dan kelulusan untuk menjual syiling emas serta patung emas tersebut diberikan sepenuhnya kepada pihak pengurusan kuil. Semua hasil jualan akan disalurkan terus ke akaun rasmi kuil bagi membiayai kerja-kerja pembinaan. Dalam perkembangan sama, Kavimaran memaklumkan bahawa semua ruang sanctum (garbhagriha) kuil akan dibina menggunakan batu granit hitam.
