Jumlah keseluruhan populasi Singapura telah meningkat kepada 6.21 juta \u2014 satu peningkatan sebanyak 1.6% berbanding Jun 2025. Menurut statistik kerajaan, peningkatan bilangan warga asing merupakan penyumbang utama kepada pertumbuhan ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sektor mana yang meningkat?<\/strong> Khususnya, bilangan pekerja yang memegang pas kerja dalam sektor pembinaan telah meningkat dengan ketara. Ini dikaitkan dengan keperluan tenaga kerja tambahan bagi projek infrastruktur utama seperti Terminal 5 Lapangan Terbang Changi, pengembangan Marina Bay Sands, penambahan bekalan perumahan, dan infrastruktur pengangkutan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bagaimana pula dengan bilangan warganegara?<\/strong> Pada masa yang sama, bilangan warganegara Singapura turut meningkat sedikit. Bilangan Penduduk Tetap (Permanent Residents) pula tidak menunjukkan sebarang perubahan ketara, kekal pada angka 550,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kenapa ini penting?<\/strong> Bagi sebuah negara yang terhad dari segi tanah seperti Singapura, peningkatan bilangan warga asing sering menimbulkan kebimbangan dalam kalangan rakyat mengenai persaingan pekerjaan dan kos sara hidup.
