Nationwide Program Offers Fully and Partially Sponsored Bachelor’s and MBA Pathways with Hands-On Industry Experience

DHS Hospitality Academy, in partnership with the Archdiocesan Office for Human Development (AOHD), has officially launched the DHS Integrated Degree Sponsorship Program (DHS-IDSP) at GLOBALNXT University, a nationwide initiative aimed at expanding access to higher education and professional development for Malaysian youth and working professionals in the hospitality and service sectors.

The DHS-IDSP provides fully and partially sponsored opportunities for Bachelor’s and MBA qualifications, combining academic advancement with practical, hands-on industry experience. “Education combined with practical experience is key to unlocking potential,” said Dr. S. Sri Kumar, Founder of DHS Hospitality Academy. “Through DHS-IDSP, we are empowering Malaysian youth and working professionals to advance academically while gaining hands-on industry skills.”

Key Initiatives

  • Malaysian Attachment Program: SKI-CAP and Hotel Internship Placements provide 12-month, fully sponsored practical training in hospitality, food service, reflexology, warehouse, security, aircraft cleaning, and 4- to 5-star hotels. Participants receive allowances, accommodation, duty meals, and insurance.
  • BOS-21 @ GLOBALNXT University: Tailored for working adults aged 21+, this program allows participants to continue employment while completing a Bachelor’s degree with partial sponsorship.
  • Executive Advancement Program (APEL MBA Track): A fast-track MBA for seasoned hospitality professionals leveraging the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) framework, enabling accelerated career progression and leadership development.

Through DHS-IDSP, participants gain not only academic qualifications but also critical professional skills, real-world experience, and networking opportunities. “Our collaboration with DHS Hospitality Academy reflects AOHD’s commitment to holistic community development,” said Mr. Aron Khoo, AOHD. “These programs create meaningful pathways for higher education, career growth, and sustainable employment for our participants.”

By combining education with practical training, DHS Hospitality Academy and AOHD are creating sustainable career pathways while empowering underserved communities in Malaysia.
