DHS & UNIVERSITI ISLAM SELANGOR LAUNCH BELIA GENERASI PROGRAM TO STRENGTHEN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND NATIONAL CAPACITY BUILDING!

Selangor, Malaysia — Youth development is the foundation of a nation’s capacity building
and long-term sustainability. In line with this national priority, Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS),
in strategic partnership with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. and its subsidiary Akademi
Hospitaliti Daya Siswa (ADHS), is set to launch the BELIA GENERASI Program—a bold,
industry-driven initiative designed to empower Selangor youths while strengthening the
state’s tourism and hospitality workforce.
The BELIA GENERASI Program is a pragmatic and inclusive initiative targeting youths who have
completed SPM or UEC, as well as those who left school early due to family or socioeconomic
commitments. The program provides structured training, direct industry exposure, and
assured employment pathways, enabling participants to transition confidently into
sustainable careers within the hospitality and tourism sectors.
This initiative reflects UIS’s strong commitment to human capital development, economic
resilience, and social stability. By equipping youths with industry-relevant skills and clear
career pathways, the program actively addresses youth unemployment while steering young
people away from social issues linked to joblessness and disengagement. DHS plays a pivotal role as a progressive and impact-driven industry partner, bringing its
proven Workforce Development Model that integrates training, certification, financial
allowances, accommodation support, and guaranteed placement. As part of the initiative,
McDonald’s Malaysia—UIS’s strategic industry partner—is directly involved, offering
participants employment opportunities upon completion of the program. Participants may
also progress into DHS’s 12-month Skill Career Program (SKI-CAP) or Hotel Internship
Placement Program, both of which provide monthly allowances and fully sponsored
certification fees.

“The BELIA GENERASI Program goes beyond skills training—it is a nation-building platform,”
said a representative of the partnership. “It develops disciplined, employable, and industryready youths while creating a reliable talent pipeline to support Selangor’s growing tourism
and hospitality industry.”
UIS’s leadership in this initiative underscores its role as an institution that extends beyond
academic excellence to actively shape society, uplift communities, and support economic
development. Together, UIS and DHS demonstrate how education–industry collaboration,
when driven by purpose and inclusivity, can deliver lasting impact.
BELIA GENERASI is not just about developing youth—it is about building Selangor’s future
workforce and strengthening Malaysia’s national capacity.
