Sri Kumar has been elected as Deputy President I of the BRIC ASEAN Chamber of Commerce at its 6th Annual General Meeting, marking a significant advancement for the organization as it strengthens its role in fostering economic collaboration between BRIC and ASEAN nations. A distinguished leader in Asia’s hospitality sector, Dr. Sri Kumar is the Founder of DHS Hospitality Academy and currently serves as President of the Malaysian Hospitality Association and the ASIA Hospitality Human Resource Association. Over the past decade, he has successfully developed DHS Hospitality Academy into a leading regional institution, with an established presence in Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Dubai—underscoring his commitment to talent development and industry excellence.
In addition to his industry leadership, Dr. Sri Kumar holds the position of Professor of Practice at Asia e University and serves as Secretary General of the ASIA Tourism Association, reflecting his strong influence across both academic and professional spheres.

His appointment comes at a pivotal time as the BRIC ASEAN Chamber of Commerce accelerates efforts to deepen cross-regional trade, investment, and strategic partnerships. With extensive international experience and a pragmatic, forward-thinking approach, Dr. Sri Kumar is expected to play a key role in enhancing the Chamber’s impact, strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and advancing human capital development across member nations.
As part of his immediate responsibilities, Dr. Sri Kumar will be involved in the organization of the upcoming BRIC ASEAN Chamber of Commerce International Conference to be held on 2nd May 2026 in Malaysia. The event is expected to bring together approximately 160 delegates from BRIC and ASEAN countries, providing a high-level platform for dialogue, collaboration, and business expansion. Dr. Sri Kumar’s appointment signals a strong and strategic step forward for the Chamber as it positions itself for its next phase of growth. His leadership is set to drive innovation, reinforce regional connectivity, and elevate the Chamber’s role as a catalyst for sustainable economic development across BRIC and ASEAN markets.
